Thank you so much! And if I can keep people from reading books they wouldn’t like, that’s just as good as recommending books they would.

This was a fantastic beginning to an excellent biographical trilogy, though personally the last was my least favorite at 4*. One of the things I never forgot about the book was Roosevelt’s father, Theodore the elder, who basically supported and encouraged young Teddy while he was growing up in all the interests he pursued as a child and teenager. He most definitely gave advice and counsel but he never forced his son onto a career path.
Loved reading your thoughts on the biography and look forward to reviews on the other two volumes.
